Astropad free download
I used AstroPad for a while then I also got their Luna product which lets you use your iPad as a second monitor that is touch-capable. I think the Luna also boosts the performance of AstroPad, although I never had any problems with AstroPad before probably it helps that I have a good WiFi network in my home.
I just tried my Luna out with AstroPad and it works great! Super responsive with very clear Retina graphics. But when you combine Luna with AstroPad you can use the pressure-sensitive feature on your stylus and its an amazing experience!
In that case, you open the AstroPad app on your devices rather than the Luna app. But thanks to the Luna app, with that setup you can continue to use your iPad as a second display. This really is the ultimate setup. After getting my first MacBook and this app, I finally got the chance. Sadly, the mode is essentially unusable for me.
As soon as I open the app it immediately just opens and refreshes the screen over and over and cannot connect. Lag-free wireless connectivity, customizable Apple Pencil shortcuts, compatibility with all of our design and illustration apps—sometimes we wonder how we got along without it.
Now we spend less time leaping technical hurdles and more time creating cool stuff. The pencil works flawlessly iPad pro and , as well as Mini iPad 6 a mini M1 Mac, using Rebelle as my graphics program. The Studio version is crisper and, of course, offers a few more gadgets, which are nice, but the Standard version is adequate for most things with one big caveat: the screen resolution on the Studio version is much superior and it seems to run quicker.
I would much rather buy the product once and even pay extra for major updates than to be bled forever for the use. But I will subscribe, Astropad leech. Just do the math, how many subscription apps can you afford? But then you lose that app.
All the money you paid them - gone! I will only subscribe to services or content providers. But subscribe to a product?

Richys-Mu Sep 4 I have an iPad pro and bought this to use as an drawing tablet to my Macbook pro a Cinema display. I was planning to somehow export my drawings as files to my Mac but it seemed cumbersome and time consuming. For about 20 minutes ago I stumbled upon Astropad here on MacUpdate and instantly knew that this is exactly what I need if it just works as intended. I downloaded Astropad here and put it in my application folder.
Took maybe 4 minutes and then I went on to the astropad. It took another two minutes to follow the very simple instructions when i started the iPad app. My Mac keyboard and mouse working simultaneously on both my Mac and iPad as drawing with my finger or Apple Pencil.
Two minutes later I saved my first test drawing onto my Mac desktop. The interface works flawlessly and also all settings are very intuitive. I was planning to drop my plans on using my iPad to make drawings to my web projects on my Mac as it seemed to cumbersome pulling the files back and forth between Mac and Ipad when making changes.
With Astropad all has changed in 20 minutes - I now have the Ultimate tool to make all kind of sketches and drawings on my Mac with my iPad. The best of two worlds combined. The sun just started to shine outside my window!
GymW Mar 19 Congregations on the developer being open, up front and honest about the actual cost of the application in the description rather than hiding it as many others do by listing part of it here as "free" then getting an unpleasant surprise at the companion end of the real cost after taking the time to download and install the "free" part here, thinking it is actually free. I applaud the developer for full disclosure. Dorkypants Feb 25 Would be a lot more useful if OS X's Ink recognized your iOS device under Astropad as a graphics tablet so you could take advantage of handwriting recognition.
